The client is a manufacturer of integrated system hardware boards based in the United States. Their
integrated hardware boards are targeted to applications involving industrial, automotive, and
consumer markets.
The client approached MosChip to help them develop a diagnostic tool which is needed to validate
system hardware board and peripherals connected to it.
Diagnostics tools are for integrated hardware that can run as a self-booting binary or from a
bootloader for products in the field. The self-booting binary will start the hardware and run the test
suite. When the diagnostics is completed, it has the option to copy, load, and launch the final
bootloader. This tool can be used for board manufacturing units to assure quality, isolate hardware
related issues during board bring up and troubleshooting specific peripherals.
